Prevent the rise of Weight Loss When Menstruation

Increase in appetite that occurs during or before menstruation due to hormonal changes or fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone. Some studies found an average increase of 1-3 kg of women experiencing weight gain due to these hormonal changes.

Besides the food is generally desirable women before menstruation is a sweet foods such as sweets and carbohydrates that can automatically trigger weight gain. These additional calories consumed an average of 200-250 calories per day.

Even so there are some things you can do to prevent weight gain before or during menstruation, as quoted from Lifemojo, Monday (2/20/2012), namely:

1. If the stomach feels bloated, so try to limit your intake of sodium by reducing the amount of salt consumed, one replacing the potassium salt.

2. Increase the intake of foods that are diuretics such as tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, green tea, cranberries, oats, asparagus, parsley and bits of fruit. But it is not recommended consumption of diuretic drugs.

3. Consume skim milk every day. Calcium helps get rid of water retention to a certain extent, it also provides energy through the protein to become more energetic.

4. Exercise or a walk around, and try a little active. This is because it is inactive for more than 2 days may cause weight gain and water retention.

5. Try to be careful in choosing healthy foods and avoid or reduce sugary foods. You do this by managing the desire to eat fruits that could change the taste in the mouth and curb the desire.

6. Try to have at least 4-5 small meals throughout the day to avoid hunger and desire to nibble.

7. Stay keeps the body hydrated by consuming enough water, but can also consume coconut water, fruit juice and vegetable soup with a little salt and reduce caffeine intake.
