The removal of Fox and FX channels would affect long time lovers of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Sons of Anarchy, and The American Horror Show.

Some other channels that will no longer be viewable from the DirecTV network are: News Corp. channels, including FX, Speed, Fuel TV, Fox Soccer and 19 regional sports networks.

The news began to circulate early Wednesday as Fox's hit show Sons of Anarchy producer broadcasted a short message three times during the shows airing stating that the channels would no longer be available after November 1, 2011. DirecTV is refusing the ridiculous demand for an increase of 40% subscriber fees for the channels from Fox News Corps.

This change is not said to affect local news channels; however the contract for the local Fox News channel is said to expire Dec 31, 2011 which may leave some local viewers in the dark for the new year as well.
