Carrot juice is efficacious Fight Bad Cholesterol

Carrots contain many nutrients including fiber, vitamins A and K, manganese, folate and magnesium. Besides good for eyes, carrot juice is also effective fight against bad cholesterol in the blood.

Carrots are known to contain high fiber, vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients. In a cup of chopped raw carrot contains 50 calories, 1 gram protein, 12 grams carbohydrates, 3.5 grams fiber and no fat or cholesterol.

Carrots are also a rich source of antioxidants, beta-carotene of up to anthocyanindin. Nutrient content is what makes carrots have the effect of lowering LDL cholesterol (low density lipoproteins), otherwise known as bad cholesterol.

Scientists Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization in Australia found that male smokers consume carrot juice every day for three weeks may lower bad LDL cholesterol oxidation. This discovery has been published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, as reported by LIVESTRONG on Saturday (01/10/2011).

According to a study conducted by researchers at the University of Valladolid in Spain, carrots are full of soluble fiber can reduce LDL cholesterol.

Cholesterol is a fat that plays a role in supporting the cell membranes and the synthesis of hormones such as testosterone and estrogen. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is a type of cholesterol is important for tissue health, but the amount is too large, may increase the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, heart attacks and strokes.

The body produces in response to LDL for saturated fats in the diet. While high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol serves to improve heart health by helping to clean and remove LDL from the blood. The body makes HDL cholesterol from foods rich in unsaturated fats.
