RI 'invaded' 598 Thousand Foreign Tourists in March 2011

Jakarta - The number of foreign tourists (tourists) who visited Indonesia in March 2011 reached 598.1 thousand people or edged up 0.64% compared to March 2010 that as many as 594.2 thousand people.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), when compared with February 2011, the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in March 2011 rose 5.28%.

"The number of foreign tourists to Bali through Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport in March 2011 rose 5.97% compared to March 2010, from 191.1 thousand to 202.5 thousand people in March 2011. Similarly, if compared to February 2011, the number of foreign tourists to Bali experienced a slight increase of 0.54%, "said Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Rusman Heriawan in his office, Jalan DR Soetomo, Jakarta, Monday (02/05/2011).

The cumulative (January-March), 2011, the number of tourists reached 1.71 million people or an increase of 6.44% compared to the number of tourists in the same period in 2010 as many as 1.61 million people.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) star hotels in 20 provinces in March 2011 reached an average of 51.95%, up 2.09 points compared to March 2010 TPK at 49.86%.

Similarly, if compared to the hotel in February 2011 TPK, TPK-star hotel in March 2011 rose 0.61 points.

Average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian on hotels in 20 provinces during March 2011 was 2.11 days, down 0.06 days compared to the situation in March 2010.
